Social Responsibility

It is a natural thing for us that we who have the opportunity, corporates as well as individuals, contribute to helping people that live under difficult circumstances. Leimdörfer actively take an increasing social responsibility, a responsibility that goes beyond our own company, our team, clients, suppliers and beyond the borders of our country.

Malawi

All Leimdörfer employees are ‘world parents’, i.e. make regular contributions to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and for the past few years we have also been involved in the Swedish branch of this organisation. Leimdörfer is also an initiator and primary sponsor of the ‘Businesses for Malawi’ project.

Projects to strengthen the social security network

UNICEF Sweden and the ‘Businesses for Malawi’ project will, for three years, support a pilot project that is to establish and strengthen the social security network by making healthcare, water, sanitation and education more available in Malawi. To attain long-term sustainability, special support is also provided for the government of Malawi, which is also involved in implementing the project.

How children benefit, with children’s centres and Children's Corners

Malawi, in Southern Africa, is one of the world’s poorest countries. Of its population of eight million, nearly one million children have been orphaned by the HIV/AIDS epidemic. To help them develop and be cared for, UNICEF has started children’s centres and ‘Children's Corners’ in the country where orphans can obtain healthcare, meals and space for play and being a child in what is otherwise a very arduous existence.
